The Scenic Colorado National Monument

In my opinion the Colorado National Monument is misnamed. It is a 19 mile alpine drive bordering on the south side of Grand Junction, Colorado. I think that because of its name It doesn't get the attention from the traveler that it deserves.
The views along the Colorado National Monument road rival those of the Southwest's National Parks.
When we are in this area of Colorado we generally take the twisty, but spectacular road with camera and tripod ready.
